While we were in Virginia for Amma’s funeral, I asked Josh’s cousin Beth for a family picture in the sanctuary of Amma’s church (thank you Beth!). This is our 1 of 12 for 2013. One family picture a month for 12 months.

Beautiful pic!I was baptized in that church about 40 years ago, sang in the choir (& passed notes with Marlin when we were in high school), got married there 33 years ago (Marlin sang to me as I walked down that aisle) – so many memories there…

My Dad was the pastor there before Chuck. We moved there when I was 8 years old and I graduated from high school there. Chuck came 2 years after I left home. I actually helped build that sanctuary. When we moved there, they met in a very old church on another part of the property. Marlin’s family moved there when I was a sophomore in high school, and we met in church. Galen & Caroline were youth group leaders… They loved me like a daughter from the day I met them. I could tell you so many stories!
What a lovely family you have! I love this idea for a photo project. It seems rare that we get one of the whole crew, even with just the 3 of us.
