The weekend started off with a girl’s night out for a fondue/birthday party for a good friend. So. Much. Fun. It was hosted by another friend who’s house was cozy and sparkling with candlelight. Laughter, wine, cheese, chocolate. Birth stories and kid stories. Catching up with old friends and making some new ones. A downright good time.
Saturday involved errand running in the Thanksgiving traffic made more bearable by a Chestnut Praline Latte (totally yum) and my little Sophia’s excellent attitude while we ran into five different stores.
Pizza night with the littles while they watched Planes.
Today church in the morning and now an afternoon of prepping. Granola baked for the week. Lesson plan/craft prepping in order to teach the phases of the moon in our little science co-op while listening to The Elegance of the Hedgehog. Pumpkin waffles for dinner.
How was your weekend?
Linking up with Amanda of The Habit of Being.
the fondue party sounds awesome. what a great weekend. <3
sounds like a great weekend. chestnut praline? yum, where was that from?
Starbucks, Amy!
I was wondering about that latte myself. Chestnut? Too bad I’m not liking Starbucks at the moment.
how did you like the elegance of the hedgehog? i have a copy in french and one in english lurking about but i keep putting off reading it for some reason…
@Amanda I actually loved it! Which is surprising, because I wasn’t sure if I could get through it at first. It’s a novel that has a lot to do with philosophy and not a lot about plot, but definitely character development. I listened to it on audiobook which helped me get through the tough spots. The readers were awesome. It is worth pushing through because is is a one of a kind novel. I’ve not really read anything like it. And the end, well, I ended up loving the characters and it definitely brought tears to my eyes. Again, unexpected!
Thank you, Danielle! I will definitely move it up in the stack 🙂
D, You think I’d like the “Elegance of the Hedgehog?”
No, I don’t really think so Briana. Since you’re not a huge fiction reader in general, I think you should go with something that has more “pull” plot-wise. I think this weigh you down perhaps? But who knows, you could always give it a shot!
