Listen:
We’ve been listening to the audiobook Little House in the Big Woods, which has been really fun and something we all enjoy, Mama included. It’s so nice when we have lots of errands to run or longer car rides.
Make:
Some good eats this week! For breakfast and snacking, we’re in love with these Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins. What is not to love about the pumpkin/chocolate combo? So excited to start making pumpkin goodies again. This was a great way to start off some autumn baking. The great thing about this recipe is that it makes A LOT. I think I got even more muffins than the recipe said I would, which is fine with me. I was able to stuff a few bags in the freezer for later.
And for dinner last night I made this deliciously old-fashioned Chicken and Dumplings. Yum. Reminded me of the kind my mom used to make. I remember how excited I would get when I’d come in the kitchen and she’d be making Chicken and Dumplings. It wasn’t something we had often. This recipe is easy and full of flavor.
Linking up with Dawn today.

Such a lovely photo! I was just thinking I need to make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies – probably similar to your muffins, as they are really soft and cakey. I love all things pumpkin…need to make some bread, and I also printed a recipe for grain-free mini “muffins” that I want to try. Love to have muffins in the freezer for a quick and easy breakfast treat.
We’re reading through Little House in the Big Woods right now too, in print. Our current audiobook is Prince Caspian–Elijah’s second Narnia adventure 🙂

Danielle, I love these listen and make posts! The girls and I listened to “Farmer Boy” on audio last spring and we all loved it! We read some of the other books out loud, but honestly for me there’s something extra special about all being active listeners together to the story. And I never realized until I was an adult the beauty of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s writing. Just love it.

@Amy, we just finished the complete Narnia series prior to Little House. We loved them all!
@Ashleigh, Farmer Boy is one of my favorite of all the little house books. At least it was as a child.

I love this! And I love your Anthropologie mug. I just picked one up as a gift. 🙂 We grabbed our first audio book this week from the library. Why in the world I haven’t thought of this before is beyond me. Beautiful post. It makes me wish I had a camera.
