September already feels like ages ago, but it was wonderful to go through our vacation pictures and edit them remembering our week at the beach two months ago. Like so many things in 2020, it was a bit disappointing. Due to multiple hurricanes there were such strong riptides we literally could not get more than knee deep in the water the whole week! Every single day was a red flag day. This has never happened in all the years we visited Emerald Isle, but 2020 is a unique year. đ That said, we were extremely thankful for a week away.
We still got to enjoy sun and sand, build sand castles, visit the aquarium, bike, and go out for special things like ice cream or donuts. We got to relax, take walks, and watch JAWS!
We have a tradition of getting photos one evening on the beach as the sun sets. Itâs always fun to compare how big the kids get each year.
Can I just say how much I love these footprints and their arms wrapped around each other?
The girls were channelling their inner Elsa and Anna and using their âpowersâ to control the waves.
