Autumn is my favorite time of year. Time for chilly weather, jeans, and sweaters. Crisp apples picked straight from the tree. The sound of crunching leaves underfoot and the swirl of a windy day. Cold apple cider. Pumpkin patches and mums brightening the yard. Hot chocolate and staying up late around a fire pit. The smell of baking bread and simmering soup. Hiking and hay rides. Early evenings in curled up with a book and a favorite throw wrapped around my legs.
To celebrate the first day of autumn, which will be this Saturday, I’m hosting a giveaway. I’m giving away one set of 24 notecards/envelopes featuring two of my favorite autumn-inspired images. To enter for a chance to win it:
Leave a blog comment. I want to know what you love about autumn!
One additional entry can be earned for each of these:

Autumn is definitely my favorite time of year. I enjoy all the textures, sights, sounds, smells, and flavors that make Autumn what it is. Cozy sweaters, fiery leaf colors, cawing crows, the fresh air with the smell of wood smoke, and delicious apple cider and pumpkin butter. And more. ๐

oh, fun!
so many things to love about autumn. I love the word. I love sweater-and-flip-flops weather. crisp blue skies, the glorious colors in our neighborhood–red star-shaped sweet gum leaves, yellow gingkos… I love the late-afternoon light. pumpkin everything, apple cider, the return of soup weather after a hot summer when it’s the last thing I want to eat. and oh yes, crunching leaves underfoot ๐

Wearing sweaters. Lighting up the firepit and going to bed smelling like woodsmoke. The leaves turning. Red cheeks. Football. And because I’m still a big kid, my birthday. ๐

Autumn is a time to rest,as Gods creation changes colors. Deep reds, orange, yellows and browns mixed with fall smells-spice,pumken and apple. A refreshing time to be thankful for all God has done. Preparing us for the change in weather and enjoying the outdoors. It is also a time of fellowship with family and friends. Yes life is busy but to take the time to breath in the cool air and let it revive us. So we can continue to bless one another during this amazing time of life.
